Every new photo birth announcement and adoption announcement design we create is based on the photograph you send to us. We create your design around your photo! For this photo birth announcement: photo was enhanced (red-eye removal, plus our "flawless skin" treatment), background darkened, and the image was printed in black and white with added colored accents. If you like this blackened-out background, and would like this feature in your own design, make sure your photo background is dark to medium-dark as your final results will be more natural this way.

When we saw this photo, we knew instantly what would look fantastic. And this is how our process begins. We open a photo for the first time, and see all the possibilites for your birth or adoption announcement design. For this twins photo birth announcement, the photo was first professionally enhanced. Then more "floor" was created on the left side to ensure perfect framing of the image. We softened the background a bit, then made the image black and white and colored the socks blue for the boy, pink for the girl! When it works, pulling out a small (or large) feature to color once a photo is made black and white or sepia-tone can be quite striking and beautiful.
